Hope everyone is excited to get back to school for the second semester. We have a busy semester on tap! Studio A is finally finished and upgraded and it is fully broadcasting on campus in HD (pretty cool huh?). If you live on campus you can tune over to 65.1 when we are live (mondays and tuesday nights) to check it out in HD.

That leads to the next announcement – we are going to be putting together a live show with the entire HAM staff on Tuesday nights and it’s going to be great. For all of our fans that aren’t on campus we’ll be posting segments from the show on our youtube page (youtube.com/thehamchannel)

Laura Z and our news team will also be working hard this semester interviewing all of the accomplished and notable guests to the university – did you see this Lara Logan interview from last semester?

The HAM Channel will once again turn Studio A into Election Headquarters for its highly anticipated annual coverage of the FUSA Elections.

The student television stations live election night coverage begins at 8 pm on Channel 64 and will air until the winners are announced.

Steve Bottari ’11 and Wanda Szarek ’11 will anchor the special coverage from the Studio and the team coverage will continue from the FUSA election after party being held at the Levee.

Guests will include the current FUSA President and Vice-President, the presidential candidates, various candidates from the other campus races, school media and special guests.

Back again this year is the hugely popular interactive feature of the broadcast, allowing viewers to text message into the show and having their texts put up on the screen, read and responded to live on-air.

And again this year viewers will have the ability to call into the show and have their voices and opinions heard live.

Tune in at midnight every night to check out the Ham Channel’s new fall line-up! Each show will premiere at midnight and repeat throughout the following day.

WEDNESDAY: Fresh Meat (at 8 p.m.), our show produced entirely by freshman brings you live entertainment, guests, and excitement!

THURSDAY: After Hours with Maria Vlahos, watch out Chelsea Handler, Maria and her panel have some of the hottest celebrity news – and they know what to do with it!

FRIDAY: The After Party, Watching youtube all day if finally paying off! Sit back and let our panel of experts (in abolsolutly nothing) tell you what they think about your favortie vidoes on the web!
